A letter from the maker.
Who's behind Wrangl, why it exists, and what you can count on.
Hi. I'm Del, and I make Wrangl.
It started with the same problem every band has: the show is on the calendar, but who's in, what the set is, where load-in is and who's getting paid what are spread across a group chat, a shared note, somebody's inbox and the drummer's memory. The admin isn't hard. It's just everywhere, and it lands on one person.
So I built one place for it. A show in Wrangl carries its own day sheet, its line-up and who's answered, the set, the contract, and the money. A rehearsal carries its agenda. The calendar shows every band you're in at once, and a sub you bring in for one night sees that night and nothing else of the band's.
What it costs
It's free for you alone, with every feature, for as long as you like. I only charge when you want your bandmates in the band with you, because that's when it starts doing work for more than one person. That's $10 a month for the whole band, at the founding rate, and the rate is locked in for as long as you stay subscribed.
What happens to your data
If you stop paying, nothing is deleted. The band goes read-only until you subscribe again. If you leave a band, what you added stays with the band's other members. You can export everything a band holds, and you can delete your account from the Account screen. I don't sell data and I don't run ads; the subscription is the whole business.
Who's behind it
One person, in Lubbock, Texas. Wrangl is made by For a While, the software label of Rainy House, a business based in Texas. There is no support team, which means the person who answers your email is the person who wrote the code. If something is broken, or something you need is missing, write to support@wrangl.band and I'll answer.
Thanks for reading this far. Go play.
